Tom DiStasio is a highly experienced performance enhancement specialist and coach in the fitness and athletic industry. With over 15 years of expertise, he has trained Navy SEALs for wartime missions and worked with Division I athletes, helping them achieve their strength, fitness, and athletic goals in diverse environments.

Our incredible guest today is Tom DiStasio. Tom is the Performance Enhancement Director of the Central Community School System here in Baton Rouge, LA. For the past fifteen years, Tom has coached individuals in a variety of training settings, helping them to achieve their strength, fitness, and athletic goals. His experience includes training the Navy SEALS for wartime operations to Division I athletes competing at the highest level. Prior to coming to Baton Rouge, Tom was a lead Strength & Conditioning Specialist at Naval Special Warfare as well as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Morgan State University. Tom has made quite a few stops in his career in athletics, the US military, and working with the general population. Tom studied Biology and Nutrition at Cornell University and went on to obtain his master’s degree in Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University.

This week Coach Moffitt speaks with Tom DiStasio, a performance enhancement specialist and seasoned coach with over 15 years of experience in the fitness and athletic industry. From training Navy SEALs for wartime operations to working with Division I athletes, Tom has helped individuals achieve their strength, fitness, and athletic goals across a wide range of settings.

Tom shares his wealth of knowledge and insights gained from his diverse career, which includes serving as a lead Strength & Conditioning Specialist at Naval Special Warfare and as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Morgan State University. Currently, he is the Performance Enhancement Specialist at the Central Community School System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Tom’s expertise extends beyond the athletic realm, as he has also worked extensively with the general population, guiding individuals from various backgrounds to reach their full potential in the weight room. Drawing from his educational background in Biology and Nutrition from Cornell University, as well as a master’s degree in Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University, Tom brings a holistic and multifaceted approach to his training methodology.
